The saddest story ever told

Thursday, March 5, 2015

The girl who grew up upper-middle class in a nearly perfect suburban town was at work at a progressive University in a beach town, a town in which she had dreams of living in since she was a child. She got up from her chair and walked to the free breakfast burritos in the kitchen, opened the bag and … there were none left. She went to the fridge for the other free breakfast foodstuffs and … nothing was there.

And so she instead grabbed the free Fage honey yogurt and went back to her desk in front of her company iPad that she sometimes takes home to play Candy Crush on.

How much more injustice can she suffer? How many times can a young woman be burnt until she starts showing her scars?
